Gates Police Command Staff

Chief David R DiCaro welcomes you to the Gates Police Department’s Website. Thank you for visiting this site.

I am proud to serve the Gates community as your Chief of Police. In 1979 I came to the Gates Police Department as a rookie police officer eager to keep the streets of Gates safe. Some 30 years later, I maintain the same enthusiasm and desire to keep our community, the town in which I live, a safe and great place to live, work and raise a family.

Today the Gates Police Department continues to recognize that service to our community is a high priority. With that in mind we are only one of two towns that maintain a full-time Domestic Violence Victim Advocate, to help with violence in the home. A youth counselor that works closely with our families and the Gates Chili School district. Most importantly we have a dedicated staff of men and women that are policing your neighborhoods 24 hours a day, seven days a week. These officers are dedicated to help you maintain the quality of life you’ve grown accustom to in the Town of Gates.
Our office staff is always ready to serve you Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM by calling us at 247-2262.
