The University of Rochester's president is sounding off about the possibility of Rochester's largest employer having state representation based out of Buffalo. President Joel Seligman told us Wednesday said the possibility of that happening is "bizarre."
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Thomas Cramer enticed promoted and profited from prostitution activities involving six girls under the age of 18. The alleged events happened between 2008 to 2012.
The Rochester City School District has received good news from the State Education Department. State Education Commissioner John King announced he has restored School Improvement Grant or SIG funds to the district.
The district said Greg Pelletier, a teacher and football coach, passed away Wednesday, following a courageous battle with cancer. Pelletier was diagnosed with bladder cancer last March.
Cody Jamieson, Jordan Hall, Sid Smith, Tyler Burton, and Travis Hill were suspended following their alleged involvement in a brawl at a suburban Minneapolis restaurant February 13.
